Re-branding of U.S. Army’s existing hotel at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas, which is part of a multi-year Privatization of Army Lodging (PAL) program being completed by Lend Lease. This program assumes ownership of over 11,600 hotel rooms on 39 military installations with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) as the hotel operator.

Based on IHG’s Property Improvement Plan, FM’s Project Team transformed the existing 186 room facility into a new Holiday Inn Express. This conversion project was completed without ever shutting down operations in a staged construction sequence by Key Construction.

The project scope included a new exterior appearance, landscaping, ADA parking lot upgrades, life safety and ADA compliance upgrades, guest room and corridor finishes upgrades, new lobby and office areas, new great room and pantry areas, a new fitness room and the addition of several Distinguished Visitor Quarters (DVQ) suites.
